   My great Aunty Susan, my Grandmother!
   My Guyanese Queen born on Guyanese independence day.
   You have grown your wings & reunited with Grandad in heaven. Out of pain & suffering now x
   I have missed so many family occasions living here in Dubai over the last 17 years, & being so far away was easily 1 of the hardest things I’ve had to deal with, when so many cousins were grieving together.

   I would always call for your birthday & bring flowers when I came home to visit, but it wasn’t the same. Selfishly, seeing only part of the Queen we all knew & loved. The home was always welcoming & a refuge to all. Always an unexpected guest or family member we had not seen in years.  Home built on love.

   God bless you, we love & miss you xxx
