    To the Baptise Family

I am writing to share my heartfelt remembrance of a remarkable man who touched the lives of many, including myself

Mr Baptise was a true pillar of our community, a beacon of joy and inspiration, and his absence is felt deeply by all who knew him.

As I reflect on the memories we shared, I am reminded of how he and my parents who he knew very well came from Jamaica to England, carrying with them the spirit of resilience and determination. He established himself in our community and was always ready to lend a hand,

His bright demeanor and cheerful nature made him a beloved figure among us.

I first met him while coaching his son in football when he was just seven years old. It was during those formative years that I got to know him better and appreciate the love he had for his family and community. He was a proud father, always encouraging his son to strive for excellence, both on and off the field. Our friendship blossomed over the years, and I was fortunate to learn about various aspects of his life and the beautiful family he had raised.

Later in my footballing career he approached me with a request to work with his other son. It was an honor to continue our relationship in a professional capacity. He was always pleasant, respectful, and supportive, embodying the qualities of an honorable man. His guidance and wisdom were invaluable, and I will always cherish the time we spent together.

As we remember him, let us celebrate the life he lived and the impact he made on those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love that will continue to inspire us all. He may no longer be with us, but his spirit and the memories we hold dear will forever remain in our hearts.

With deepest sympathy and fond remembrance,

    M.B.R
