   Dear Heavenly Father, as my special friend prepares to say goodbye to his loving mother today, I come before you with heavy hearts, seeking your comfort and strength. Wrap him and he’s family in your loving embrace, and grant them peace in the midst of this profound loss. May they find solace in the memories of their mother’s love, and may the knowledge of her eternal presence bring bring them hope. Guide them through this difficult time, and remind them that they are not alone, for you are always with them. Amen.

   Dear family
   So sorry that I can’t be there with you on this day, to say goodbye to cousin Joyce.
   Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
   Cousin Joyce was like a mother to me and I will miss her. I will always love her.
   She always welcomed me into her home whenever I visited London. Her words were “if is one board, we will lie on it.”
   Rest in eternal peace cousin Joyce.
